Default Removing seat headrest supports

Yeah, I've searched and all I could find was a poor quality diagram of a CRX seat, and a picture of someone who'd already done it.

I have 89 Civic hatchback Si seats, and I can't seem to get the headrest support off so I can get the seat cover off to fix it up .

I know you need to push the plastic tabs together to get the headrest support out, but so far I've only been able to get the side without the headrest lock (thing you push in/releases the headrests) loose. When I was feeling up (the seat ), I felt some threads from a screw on the side that won't come out. Can someone enlighten me as to how to take the damn headrest supports off without breaking anything? Yeah, I've already cut the **** outta both of my hands trying.

Thanks.
