Can anyone give me some information on the transtop swap?

I want to do it, and have access to a rear cut JDM Sol, I am just confused about a few things.

Some say you have to cut the whole rear off and weld up the JDM one. Some say that all you have to do is cut holes in the rear floor so the beams can mount to the suspension. Some say the rear 1/4's are different.

Can anyone who has done this, or seen it done, give me info on this? I am not afraid of the electrical parts, I just need to know what I am getting into as far as all the physical stuff goes before I start.

I have read on the Team Sol Cali board that all you have to physically modify is the trunk floor, by cutting two holes for the beams.
