Default Something Wrong With Tranny??

hey everyone. so my friend decided to unbolt my header from my cat today, after we finished installing my new oil pan. just wanted to experiment on running open headers. so we drive to subway and right before i was about to turn, i couldnt put my car into gear. it was like stuck for some reason. i turned off the car for a bit and turned it back on and everything was back to normal. afterwards we decided to reconnect the header because it was too loud. so i'm waiting at this light and when it turned green, i tried to shift to first, but it wouldnt go in. i pushed it as hard as i could and it finally got into gear. when it got into gear, it was slowly moving even tho my foot was still on the clutch. it also shooked like crazy when i finally was able to put into gear. after awhile, everything seemed ok. i know theres somethin wrong, because this has never happened before. any ideas on what they might be?? thanks and lmk

It sounds like you are boiling the brake fluid in your clutch master/slave cylinder system. Therefore the clutch is not disengaging.

id say since hes got a DA his clutch cable might be miss adjusted or his clutch might be on its way

do you hear any abnormal noises?

well it got worse today. on my way to work, and i was at the stop sign. tried to shift to 1st to go, and couldnt get it into any gear period. i put it into 1st while the car was off and then turned on the car. it lurched forward and i was able to drive it back home. but yeh the clutch felt very weird compared to normal and i had a hard *** time shifting and downshifting...based on this new info, do yall still think its just the clutch??

Try putting it into second and slipping it to go, i'd rather slip it a little and not have to deal with the lurching and shoving it into first...your probably only making it worse faster.
