pull out the carpet and check around the vents and seals in the back my hatch did the same thing and the vent on the drivers side was leaking some sealant ought to do the trick
They are $4 each side from the dealership or you can go to walmart and get 4 sheets of these for 33 cents each and make your own. I did this the other day and it worked like a charm.

I had same problem because I had my amps in my spare tire compartment and one day my system shut off, and I saw that they were all wet.
I took everything out of the back of my hatch and stuck a construction flood light underneath my car. When you look into your hatch you will be able to see cracks/holes/etc. because of where the light is coming through. THen from there you can use silicone/cocking/or w/e u want to seal up all the cracks and what not.
GL, worked for me

when you remove the carpet from the trunk you will see something in the bottom left corner he is talking about that vent. its the molded carpet on the side of it like by the rear shock tower

Here is the update..
I changed both my left and right tailight gaskets..
**Here is the problem.. My right tailight doesnt leak any more (right meaning when lookin at the back not from front).. <u>Now there is only water leaking from the left side.. i dont know if its the gasket.. any one can help me?? im going to buy some kmart foam thing and take out the new gasket from the left side and make it thicker and a lil longer. if thatsn ot the case can anyone point me in the right direction?? (BOTH GASKETS ARE BRAND NEW!)

My 95 civic ex coupe leaks water into the rear floorboards when it rains and the car is parked nose uphill(but not when parked nose downhill). Are there hoses that drain from the sunroof to the underside of the car? If so, how do I access or unplug the hoses? If not, what's the solution?
my car does the same thing and it is a coupe. i haven't had it replaced yet but i was told to have the rubber foam seal around where the trunk closes, but i don't know if it is similar for a hatch.
well.. i dont wanna remove my whole rear panel.. kinda lazy.. its not the tail light.. i think its one of the plastic protecter thing for the tail light spike thing to go into..
