Default Need Help! Car won't start

It's a 94 integra LS. For some reason the car won't start. Battery is good, fuel is good. the car has been running fine without any problems. The engine does churp like its about to start but doesn't.

Exactly five days ago I did change the fuel filter, it was my first time doing it and I was pretty sure I put the new filter in the same way I took it out. Is there some special technique that I missed.

I also added 2 gallon of gas even though the meter reads 1/2 tank is left, I figure by disconnecting the fuel line might through off the fuel readings.

Anybody have any ideas or similiar problems?

go back over all the things you messed with when you changed the fuel filter. It sounds like that might be the issue.

Dont' worry, the car has gas. It takes the reading from the tank, so you didn't mess that up.

Try getting in the car, and turning the key to the "acc" position. You should be able to hear the fuel pump priming. Turn it off. Then repeat this 6-8 times. This should cause the fuel pump to prime the lines.

Ok, just did the Fuel priming, 6-8 times, twice. But still no ignition. Is it possible that the fuel pump coincidently fail 5 days after the fuel filter is install? the car does have about 150k on it, and I think its still has the original fuel pump.

I am confident I install the fuel filter correctly, there is ony two screws and I tighten those good.

Any suggestions? The car is at school right now so I have get it fix by this weekend.

Ok, this is what happens from the beginning. My brother got out of school, started the car and waited in line to get out of parking lot. The car suddenly dies, like the key just been turned off. There were no jerky or grumbling noises. I am guessing its the fuel pump, any ideas?

can you hear like a high pitched "whurrrr" when you first put the key in the ON position? If so, that's the fuel pump priming. If you can't hear that, your fuel pump isn't working.
But, for the car to suddenly die due to fuel starvation, it would sputter and die, not just instantly die.

I can hear the pump prime, and the car didn't sturder before dying, so I dont think its the fuel pump. I was told that it could the the main relay, a common problem, so I went to change it but couldn't find where it is. I know it's somewhere under the steering wheel right? But not sure. Anybody got any pictures for reference?

Dude im thinking its to do with your ignition. To see if its your ignition, take a spark plug with the the wire from teh dizzy still attached, ground the bottom of the plug( metal to metal, like on teh head or even the ground that goes from teh head to the frame if it reachs), get a bud to turn the engine over and see if it sparks. You want a blue spark for sure, a yellow spark is a weak spark and you dont want that, but in your case im guessing there will be no spark at all. This of which was my problem. Take it to a shop if you dont know what your doing and have them check out the ignition coil first off, thats perferably the most common problem if you have not had it replaced. If its not that then go for cap and rotor, then ignitor. If its not that then i dunno man. but gl to ya.
