Removing rear fender..HELP! (92 4dr)
My rear fender and bumper were hit and the cost to repair it is going to run about 500 bucks. I found the pieces I need at a junkyard and thought this may be a cheaper way to go considering they are already white and in good condition. I know how to remove the bumper, but how do I get the rear fender part off since it goes across the tops of the windows and down to the windshield. Would I be better off just taking it in to have it fixed? or is replacing it not too difficult...? thanks
oh and heres a picture of the damage

you need to go to a shop. the quarter panel is welded in and doesn't look to need replacement. it should be pulled back out and pounded. the little filler piece and bumper are easy, its that quarter panel that is going the be hard. if they are going to fix it for 500, that is a hell of a deal.
yeah i knew the filler panel and bumper would be no problem, i just had no idea about the fender piece so i just thought id ask...guess that answers my question
the shop it is (was just looking for any option to save a little money..but yes i know 500 bucks to fix all of that is a great deal...) thanks for reply

Yeah if I were you I would not remove the quarter panel, because it is welded on and the damage is not that bad and that could be fixed pretty easy by a body shop, and the 500 doesn't seem to bad if they are going to fix everything and do the paint.
yeah they are going to fix everything and repaint it...like i said, was just checking out other possibilities, but im going to go ahead and have the shop do it all, then i dont have to mess with it
