Default 1995 honda accord D4 is flashing...help

hello.

im helping one of my friends out on her car. this is the problem. i drive the car no more than one mile and the D4 light starts to flash. it will continue to flash until the car is turned off. when you start it back up and drive again, the same thing happens. please help.

btw, the speedometer/odometer doesnt work but the rpm does. there is no check engine light yet.

please help before school starts.

ive heard problems like this before, and you telling me that the speedometer and odometer do not work pretty much sum it up, it is your Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS).

get a new one mang, not sure about how much they cost however..

Hello I got the same problem wih my tranny with the D4 blinking light... did u fix urs? do u know what might be the problem

Take the car to Autozone, and get them to check the codes for you (free). Then post up the results.

This sounds like a bad VSS, but it's always best to get the codes before replacing parts

BTW auto zone or parts store will not be able to hook up a scanner to read your codes. To find the VSS, go to the throttle body right where the air snorkle meets and look straight down.

hello i already changed that sensor but still gives me that flashing D4 and the car still run the same. ((
