where to get 5mm pin punches
hey guys doing my timing belt and valve adjustment sunday and I need to buy a feeler gauge and two 5mm pin punches where can I get these?
Thanks alot
Thanks alot
feeler gauge = Sears
punches:
just use a small phillips head screw driver or an allen wrench that will fit.
you 'should' not need to hold the cams in place unless you have different valve springs or cams.

I've never had any difficulty with the straight feeler guages. As for the punches. Just use, as Will suggested, a couple allen keys or really anything that'll fit in there. They won't be under any real pressure. Just make sure you take them out before you try to crank the engine over.

LOL, Ive done with the sledge, its just easier with the air hamer. Work smart, not hard.
BTW, I think antiseize around that pin will make it much easier, wont it?
Edit: When I use a hammer, I use an AC bolt. The AC bolt is tapered at the end and makes a GREAT punch. Only downside is that its long and reduces the swing from the hammer.
