Hey, got a quick question.

You EF usdm guys who did the b16 swap, did you use the stock crx radiator or did you have to change? Did you run into any issues with hose fittings or anything?

What bout you EE8/SiR owners, have you had to change your radiator yet? WHat did you go with? Are the factory front end dimensions the same between the USDM/EDM/JDM model Crx's?

Ive got an EE8, and I need a new radiator. I was quoted 300 Euro at honda for a new stock one, but i can get a Fluidyne/C&R cheaper than that but I want to know if it will work in my chassis or not.

Anyone have any info on this? Im hoping Seti can chime in, he might know for sure but any help is appreciated.

 

Don't quote me but I am pretty sure they are all the same fitment as far as the bushings go. I did a B16 swap in my '90 rex and the stock rad popped 2 days later so I stuffed my '92 Integra radiator in and it fit right up. The integra unit was $135.00 new from autozone and works and looks great.

 

Were the neck sizes the same between the two radiators? $135 is a great price, **** ill hit napaonline up for a new one if thats the case. I just cant fathom buying a stock one from honda for 300 Euro

Since you ordered one for a teg, im assuming its because of the neck size right? But the mounting locations were also the same? Crazy...

 

Actually I bought the Teg one for my '92 GSR 3 months earlier before I ever had the REX. I just had the part left over because my GSR was totalled. I am not sure about the neck size exactly, the teg rad does sit a little higher and almost rubs my hood but the front end is a little tweaked, I guess the previous owner hit something pretty hard. I had a little fitment issues but I have read all kinds of other post where there was no problem so that's why I figure my REX is a little bent. The Teg rad was thicker also (dual core) so I would just say p/u one of those and you'll be fine (as long as you have a Bseries which I assume you do)

 

Yea ive got an ee8, comes stock with a b16a1. PRoblem is, i cant just pick one up, ive got to order it online since im overseas in Belgium

 

Would you mind greatly getting some measurements for me?

Unless someone knows a place online that has a schematic or something... im probably thinking too much into this, but i hate ordering **** that doesnt fit.

You trying to measure the distance between the lower mounting points??? I can't get it now but maybe tomorrow when the sun is out again

Naw, dont worry bout it. Im just going to find some place online that has the measurements. No need for you to be crawling around on the ground for that ****

Thats cool, I am sure it will fit though. I know for a fact the JDM and USDM Integras are the same fitment so if the REX is different from market to market that would just be strange.

 

Well I know the inner frame rails are definately different between the edm/usdm rex. THe edm is wider to compensate for the b16 (thus you dont have to dent the inner frame rail to compensate for the alternator, etc) among some other small things. I just want to be sure before I order anything.

I guess my answer was a little vauge, I know there are alot of diff. but I just meant the rad support brackets underneath the rad. should be the same but i am just assuming.
