40k Zc VTEC SOHC 95

Ok I just recently bought a SOHC VTEC Zc engine with 40k mils on it I decided Id like to go DOHC instead never installed it.

Ps it is a 95 motor

just so you know your probably going to get yelled at for this, not by me though. from now on just use the marketplace for sales/trades/offers like this.

Yes you have... It is the JDM version of the D16Z6. Same head, a little higher compression piston, same block. Stamped ZC on the block.

I thought the JDm version of the Z6 was the D15B? My buddy just bought one and his block definately says D15B, not ZC. I personally have never seen a vtec ZC. Where did you buy it from?

From a motor place out here in cali and it is stamped ZC thats for sure are all hondas wired for vtec? maybe they added the solenoid

That would seem a little odd for one a D15B is a 1.5 a z6 is a 1.6 and my motor looks alot like My buddies D16z6 in his Si hatchback.. So that makes alot of sense Anyone else know if this is true?

Well from what I know, the JDM D15B is the replacement for our Z6. If you look at the power from each, it is about the same. My buddy bought his and he pulled his busted Z6 out, and dropped the D15B right in and started his car. No mods needed, so that says to me that these two could replace each other. I have never seen a zc with a vtec head on it. Post some pics to let us all know. I would personally love to see that.
