Default Starter question: 98 Honda civic EX

My sisters 98 civic ex automatic wouldn't start this morning........It has a new battery, all the electrical components work, so the battery isn't the problem. When its trying to start, all you here is that dry clicking noise.......there is no turning over of the engine......Im almost sure its the starter, i already went and picked up another one on the way to work but i cant change it til the morning....... anyone got any insight on this problem..........

check the conditions of the grounds and that big positive wire going to the starter. Always good thing to do even if it's probably not the problem.

most likely its the starter. On my 97 civic ex the starter was giving the same clicking noises before it gave out.
