Default Oil leak where axle goes into tranny (01 gsr)

Hi All,
I installed a new tranny on my car yesterday and noticed today that there's oil leaking from where the driver side axle goes into the tranny. Is it most likely just the Drive axle seal? or do I have a bigger problem? Would hate to have to take tranny out.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds right to me, that's what those seals are there to prevent. If it's not you're only out about $12 or so for the seals anyway

same thing happend to me, i didnt know what it was until my shifter started to grind.

replaced it, filled up my tranny fluid, and luckily, the shifting is back to smooth. been driving like this for about 3-4 months.

Sure enough, it was just the axle oil seal. Thanks again for your inputs all.
