I have an 03 civic si and the water pump is making a weird humming noise radomly. I took a look at it and it looks kinda hard to change it, just wondering if anyone have attempted to change the damn thing yet, also does we have to drop the motor out to replace it cuz it looks like it is right by the frame rail.

herd you had to remove the crank pulley to get to the water pump

 

bump, would like to know this too, most likely getting the same "humming" noise!

 

Today I try to replace the water pump but I can't remove it out in the tight area. I got the bolts off but. I might have to remove the crank pulley in order to remove the pump but u can't remove the crank pulley it's hard
