I own a 95 civic Dx w/ jdm b18c.. skunk 2 im, b16 tranny, sri, etc I've had the car for around 6 months now and it had no heat what so ever.. I turn the Power level on 4 and hit the vent button and i hear it coming from the right side over in the passenger kick panel, but it only comes out very little through the vent.

Before i could even get any hot air to come out, there was a hose not connected in the engine bay coming from right behind the radiator hose and it was going directly to the brass fitting that goes to the back of the intake manifold.

I Un done the hose from the fitting and plugged the hose into the heater core that's up against the fire wall and then plugged the other hose into the fitting.. After doing this and letting the car warm up i now have some slight heat coming out of the vents, but reguardless it won't come out full force.

Is something clogged, bad heater core? I have no idea ANY input, comments & suggestions are welcomed.

How do i check?
What do i need to do?

 

So you're not getting very much air at all? Or the air is cool?

Do you get a full amount of air when you use the straight vent, or the A/C (if your car has it)?

 

look at the coolant hose, there should be a switch on it going into the firewall, turn it, you have it
I forgot whether it is suppose ot be turned parallel to the line or perpendicular

I'm getting heat it just doesn't come out with hardly any to no power, but i hear it blaring from the passenger side kick panel.. it's just not coming out of the vents

What do you mean ''the switch'' The heater core valve that the hose plugs into on the firewall?? Theres a metal cable on there that adjusts weither or not it's hot or cold air.. is that what your referring too??

Check out the blower fan first. Located under the glovebox on the passenger side and easily removable.

It's held by 2 or 3 screws. Just pull it out and turn it on... see what happens.

What would you suggest if the previous owner of my car hard wired a feed to the heater for my EG right off the battery?

My hvac works where I can direct the flow but cannot turn it on or control the pace.

The Airconditioning was also removed from this car and I am going over it to correct all of the errors.
