Default Looking for new Suspension...ride quality paramount

So I drive a '91 CRX Si. Right now I have the Tein SS setup. I also have Rota Curcuit 8's with Azeni 615's (205/50/R15). I autocross all the time, but only for fun, I never expect to win, and this car is a daily driver. I like the ride height of the vehicle, but even on the softest setting, I feel like I am riding a go-kart, and my kidneys are starting to hurt.

I am looking for a suspension setup that lowers the car sufficiently but has close to stock ride quality. This is a daily driver first and foremost and a fun autocrosser on the weekends.

Anyone with real world experience that could offer me some constructive advice?

Thank you in advance I appreciate it.

i cant recommend blues. the manufacturing is farmed out to their plant in china and i hear too many bad experiences to vouch for em. illuminas are still made in japan and i tihnk the quality is great, the adjustability is so worth it. especially if youre going between autox and street driving.

In all honesty, how often do you think you really change the settings? I have konis on now and the the eibachs with blues feel almost as ferm as my konis. Most people I know don't change the settings often enough for it to make a difference in price and adjustablity, they always keep there street setting the same as track. Besides, the ones I have arn't stamped "made in china"

well, heres my point about the adjustability of the shocks. i just consider it a bonus. i think the quality of the valving of the illuminas is worth the difference in price alone.

as for how often you adjust it, well thats up to the user. when im daily driving, i never touch em. when i was going to autox or track days, id bump all the shocks to 5 or 4. i really would.

if you have the older blues that are made in japan, great. theyre not made there anymore.

im just saying i cant vouch for em. i tihnk tokico is a great company and illuminas are a great value shock. and quite frankly, in my opinion, better than koni yellows for my taste. i tried em too, i went back to illuminas.

wow... interesting. There was a rebound test floating around here and they displayed the shocks there. Thats part of the reason why I went with the Konis. Frankly, I love them but thats just me. Maybe I'll put my blues back on and see which one I like better or maybe I should sell them? I don't know. Its a good thing my blues arn't the shitty china ones then.

Anyways, if you want a better ride quality you might also want to check out the suspension forum. They may have more people help you out there.

The omni power full coil overs on my crx 12k front 10k rear with 205/50/15 azenis rt 615 are an excellent choice. The suspension is not very known but for $630.00 it isn bad they are the equevalant to the tein type flex $1200.00 only difference is the price but they are very stiff 3 wheel action when going into driveways but when riding on even pavement they are confortable.

they go for $750.00 on their site but I got mine at jhpusa.com really cheap
