Cool car, so fresh and so clean. Is this a conversion or import?

maybe this is a stupid question.. but do you need to break the car in after 34 thousand miles?

lol the break in thing was a joke.

Its an actual import not a conversion peep out the japanese registration stickers on the top of the windshield. Its a 1996 ITR with the rare 4x114.3 wheel setup which sucks to find wheels for. I am looking for some volk ce28s that I dont have to wait for 3 months to get so if you know anyone that has some let me know..

I'll get some interior and motor ones when I clean up the engine bay and vacuum it out. Look out for them soon like maybe tonight lol.

Very nice Super clean considering its age. Keep her safe. It may be a little difficult to find volks in stock with that bolt pattern. I waited 4 months for my ce's and they're 5x114.3. Worth the wait IMO.

Let's see some interior and motor shots

I have been considering keeping them but they need to be refinished as they arent too nice up close. I just want some wheels that will sit flush with the car though, maybe some small wheel spacers might be in order.

What did you have to go thru to register it? I am looking at getting something in RHD soon.

i dont think anyone cares if its RHD or LHD or no hand drive.. its not emissions and visuals that you need to worry about. did you get it imported or did you buy it from somene who already had it here?

nice car!

You know what I meant.
Let me rephrase then. . . I am looking to import a NON USDM car. What did you have to go thru to make it legal for import into the US?

i believe it varies state by state.. i do know that you have to pass emisions, that might mean getting a cat, and other parts.. youll also have to have "us stock" parts, that are carb legal.. headlights, taillights, windows, header, intakes, etc.. (if they arent already) but it all has to be US legal. also i remember reading youll need a lot of documentation, to show the car isnt stolent etc...

if you are really interested, call your local dmv, and they should be able to tell you everything you need to get it registered.

oh i just noticed.. do the JDM ITRs not come with the Type R sticker on the side of the car?
