Default '00 Type r value?

What do you believe a bone stock, 80k, black '00 type r is worth?

I am thinking about trading a friend my Evo(6k miles) for 15k & type r.

So you going to give him your evo and he's going to give you 15 and an ITR?

I paid over 30k and I drove it 6000 miles, I have had it 3 months.

I'm more concerned with what a 2000 type r is worth though.

Well, if given the Evo is worth now, say 27k (read, used) and the dudes car is worth 18, take the 27-18 and you get 9, so you should only be getting 9k plus his car, or you'd make out on the deal. Now say his car is worth 12k, take the 27-12 and you get 15, in this case you wouldn't be getting a good deal IMO. It really depends though on what the car is worth to you. Hope that's not to confusing, makes sense in my head. Basically take what your car is worth, minus his car and then figure out where the difference is.

Ok, but what do '00 Type R's sell for with 80k miles and great shape? There is no "Blue Book" value I can find.

80k R in PERFECT condition I could see around 15-16k. That's in perfect condition. So take the 27-16 and you still have 11k.

$15k or so - if it is in very good condition.

The ITR with 80k will be more reliable.

Besides, assuming your Evo is paid off, 15k is a boatload of cash.

Around $15-16K if it's in very good condition. (A car with 80K miles is almost never in "perfect" condition.)

good point. if you don't mind losing the evo, definitely go for it. if the R is in good condition, it would be worth the trade with $15k. you can't go wrong with R except high insurance prices. like previous post says, it goes for around $15-16k
