Default JDM H23a vs. USDM H23a...any differences?

I blew my engine in my 1995 Prelude Si and swaps are out of the question, I just need to get my car up and running. My question is, are there ANY differences that would make it more difficult to put a JDM H23 into my USDM chasis or anything else I should know about it since a lot of motors online are from Japan? Feel free to recommend good places to purchase an engine from online too. Thanks in advance.

I dont really have an answer for ya since im not too knowledable on swap distributors. But i just wanted to ask out of curiousity how/when did you blow your motor? 107k on an h23 is nothing as far as im concerned. Did you mis-shift or something?

last time i checked the jdm h23a was the vtec version that came out of the accord wagon in japan theres the jdm f22b which is the h23a1 here in the states. other then a new ecu and possible wiring for vtec and its ready to get back and running, or if you do an f22b from japan its a straight drop in.

big difference. like as mentioned, the JDM H23A was VTEC, where the US version was not.
it would like installing any other H22 though.

Oh, my mistake then, i was talking about the USDM h23a1 and the JDM equivalent, which i guess is technically the f22b. So as long as i get physically the same engine, even if it's from Japan, it's a direct fit? Here's the one i'm looking at, maybe it's just a USDM so i don't have to worry, but i wanted to make sure. http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30027
