Why wouldn't get you get the VAFC over an AFC (with the z6)?

It would be optimal to get the VAFC because of the VTEC control but don't mess with it until you take the car to a dyno and have it dynoed and then you can see when to adjust your vtec.

i like the fact that the vafc is tuneable more so then a chipped ecu, because you dont need the laptop...but is it pretty much an external chip for the ecu or what?

My buddy has both a chipped ecu (skunk2 program) and a apexi vafc. He got his ecu chipped cause he got cams and needed a higher redline. aslo i believe the chip changed the air/fuel ratio, If I remeber correclty thats what he told me. He got his car dynoed, found his weak points, vtec/air/fuel and got it tuned with the VAFC.

I think that would be the best buy. Cause correct me if Im wrong but a VAFC is the same thing is a AFC except u can mess with vtec. So if u dont have vtec now but are planning on doing a LSVTEC set up then yea. I personally would go with the hondata system for tuning.
