My Crash

The Story:
On my last day of break before coming back to school, I was on the way to my freinds house to catch a train to NYC to go see the InitialD live action movie in theatres. Well I came around a hard right that I've taken hundreds of times before, and there was a deer in the middle of the road. I veered to the left while giving it a little bit of brake (didnt want to slide off into the woods) and then nipped the right side of my car.
Then upon turning back right, the back end of the car started to come around. I did my best to counter-steer and give it gas, but the azenis and the freezing weather weren't proving to be a great combination. I ended up going into a dirt bank/hill on the right because the car couldnt pull forward enough. I started sliding along that sideways, spinning and taking out a few panels of 50-year-old picket fencing. The back end spun around more and took down another panel of fencing 20 feet down the road too.
All told, the entire front end got smashed up, headlights included. The drivers side door got alot of damage too, and the rear bumper got some scratches. The car drove totally straight to my freinds house, where I sat there and thought about what the hell just happened, so at least its all cosmetic I THINK. I still havent driven it above 40mph since the accident to see if any effect would be magnified.
On the bright side, my JDM HID front end (that I bought literally the day before)will be getting put on by my freinds dads bodyshop. All the damaged panels will be replaced, as well as my passenger quarterpanel which had some rust developing, and then most likely an entire CW respray.

Damn deer. They're a menace around here. Just about every day the traffic report starts with "cleanup after a car vs. deer on this major thoroughfare."
At least it wasn't nearly as bad as Ed's deer avoidance accident.

I tell ya though, as long as a dear doesn't jump out, these windy roads are about 732 times more fun than city blocks

No quarter panel damage, but I've had some rust that runs through the entire wheel-arch and at the front of the panel by the door, so I'm going to replace it while I'm doing everything else.
It was rusting because that quarterpanel was replaced at some point and not rust-proofed properly. Alot of this car is actually replacement parts... Its had one hell of a history. On the floor and rear wheel-arches, are marks from where a weld-in rollbar used to be and was cut off. All the interior panels are also off of a non-ITR (no holes for rear trunk bar in plastic) so I'm suspecting it used to be a race-car. It had a "Columbia Racing" metal badge on the interior when I bought it... anyone know anything about them?

Tommy, tommy, tommy [shakes head low]
Sounds like you need a big truck like me so the damned deer just bounce off into the flora when they decide to commit suicide.
Keep us advised and let us know if we can help.

Yup... It wasn't a good month for the R. I also let my uncle (car enthusiast, has a Lotus Europa) drive the car, and he nailed a huge bump in the road, putting a nice dent in my 2 week old T1R header
.... yes the 4-2-1 one
