Default is he on HT?

does anyone know if the owner of this hatch is on HT? cause his moldings are shaved and has sidemakers and i want to ask him how he placed his sidemarkers with the moldings shaved cause im ready to buy some sidemarkers and my moldings are also shaved. if anyone could help me that would be GREAT!!

most templates that are used for sidemarker placement are measured off the moldings.

just have someone measure from the bottom of the fender to the top of the side molding. take a grease pencil and draw a line.... done. you have temporary side moldings so you can then use the template. i'll measure it out for you when i get out of class.

thanks man!!!! i GREATLY appreciate it!! if its not too much trouble could you get the measurements from the side of the fender to the sidemarker?

This is just a guess on my part, but do you by any chance like Thursday?

YUP.. thats where i got my name from and when i get them installed ill post some pics. and if possible, could any of you guys that also have sidemarkers on your EG's take the measurements from the bottom the of the fender to the sidemaker and the side of the fender to the sidemaker. i want to get an average measurement on where to place it. i want the placement as OEM as possible THANKS guys!

i know its not pretty, but i'm bored, so enjoy.


from the middle of the bottom of the fender, between the door and the wheel well as shown in my crappy pic. straight up from there is 10 1/4". there is the top of the side molding. take a grease pencil (easily removed once done) and make a like across, so you have a reference point for where the template shows the top part of the side molding as shown in StrokeDC2's post.

hope that helps, that should get you well on your way to getting those side markers installed. post up some pics when you are done.

yea..thats my old hatch i owned over 2 years ago. i bought it as a shell n it already had shaved moldings. i needed a new front end so i got some jdm fenders n had then shaved.

btw. i also install side markers.

doin it on my hoimes EG real soon.also have shaved moldings..looks like my old twin.
