question for d16z6
I have d16z6 vtec on my 93 civic but my ecu is d16y7. is it possible to make the car start?? and for distribiutor I dont get spark at all. whats the problem of my engine?? can you please tell me why it wont start.
you have a wierd setup...obdI car, obdI vtec engine and an obdII non vtec ecu, thats why it wont start. the ecu out of whatever your stock engine was-im guessin its was a D15b7 since you are upgrading to a z6 should start the engine but it might run like crap and you wont have m@d VTEC yo! so bottom line-get a p28 and you are golden.

any obd1 ecu will let the car start and run. but, the p28 will work best.

i wanna put turbo on my civic so if i buy p28 would be still better for a turbo?? ohh and im looking for vtec cable that it goes to ecu...can you find me one?? what else do i need to make my turbo run atlist 8psi?
chipping a p28 is really cheap and easy so it would be a good candidate for a turbo setup.
for wiring vtec, take wire... and wire it from the ecu to the solenoid. there are a bunch of how-tos on this site.
to run 8psi you will need a turbo kit and fuel managment to run 8 reliably. it really sounds like you have a lot of homework to do before you take on this task. 8psi from different turbos produce totally different results.
not meaning to rain on your parade, but you either learn the easy way or the hard way.
