Default new swap runs...........but

damn i hope some one can help me. First off i don't know that much about hondas and this swap every thing that we researched said it was plug and play We have a 94 civic dx and a jdm b16a2 motor . we also live in an area that no one knows an thing about engine swaps . the car runs rich and has no power while backing up and backfires. The car is throwing a code 10 and 1 Olso what all has to be wired to the ecu believe me i have searched but get diff results. thanks in advance

well code 1 is o2 sensor. code 10 is the iat. it is possible you haveit mixed up with either the purge cut solenoin or the iac valve. it is a p+p swap, but you do need to run the spool valve, oil switch, and knock to the ecu. hybrid garage has a good write up on it but the site seems to be down. look at the sticky at the top of thie page for the pinouts.

what ECU are you running...and also it could have something to do with the obd2 motor in the obd1 car...and i hate to tell you but whoever told you that b16a2 is jdm is a liar...that is the usdm motor out of a 99-00 civic SI

not coming to anyones defense, but people that are new to swaps, sometimes assume the a2 is the same from 92 and up. the "a1" is a first gen.

i too was guilty of this 5 years ago.

i didnt assume that he had an a2 but if he does then the above is correct.

hey thanks for the quick responce guys sorry i wasn't as fast i got sick right after i did post. The ecu is a p30 and yes I thought that a 92 through 95 was b16a2. I bought the motor, trans and ecu from Rising Sun in Chico Ca. They sell every thing but don't know jack about swaps, nice people though. About mixing up plugs is this a common mistake and if so do you happen to know of a site with pic's that would show exactly what plugs you are talking about just like it says next to my name im a nooblet,i still struggle with the part abbreviations thanks
