Got ym buddies Evo VIII wint at my house, and he wants the white paint taken off...the whole wing is CF even under the paint. Whats the best way to remove the existing paint, without damageing the CF?


After I remove the existing paint, whats the best way to go about getting a nice clear coat on the whole thing? COuld I do it mself, if so whats the appropiate steps to insure I wont expletive it up?


Strip paint?
West sand?
Clay Bar?
Clear coat?
Wet sand?
Clear coat?


Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

 

I'd say wet sand but it will be a slow process

 

well I am not sure how the evo wing is made, but once you get into the carbon you only have 500th of and inch of resin till you start sanding into the fibers
