Question about Re010 and RA1
I did a search but come up with different answers.
Are RE010s symmetrical (can you take the tires off the wheels and rotate from left to right?). what about Toyo RA1?
Thanks.

Both tires are uni-directional BUT that only matters in the rain - you can do whatever you want in the dry. Also, I really wouldn't recommend running RA-1s on the street unless you've a large bank account. Additionally the RE010's are a great street tire but can chunk pretty badly on the track.
All my friends run RA1s on the street last year, now they all change to T1S or 712, hahaha, I just take their old RA1s for the tracks, How much are they in the states, not that expensive here in Toronto, al least cheaper than T1S, I ran T1S at the track couple times last year and they are sh*t

The RE010 also comes in various other sizes (205/50-15, 225/50-16, 215/45-16, 245/40-17) that are designed to be used on the NSX only. In those sizes, the RE010 is asymmetrical (IOW not symmetrical; it has a side facing outwards indicated on the tire) as well as directional, so it should not be flipped and used on the other side of the car. In those sizes, you must order a "left tire" or a "right tire".

Yes, Toyo RA1's are symmetrical, so you can remount them if you'd like.

The grooves on any tire are only there to help with wet surfaces. Therefore, if you're driving on dry pavement, it doesn't matter which way they rotate.

An NSX chewed up our T1-S's NEW after 3600 miles!!!
3600 miles is the normal life of a rear tire on an aggressively-driven NSX. I've gotten as few as 2900 miles on mine.
