Default vafc vtec crossover Q

im read about people lowering the vtec engagment and having to adjust some fuel settings in the "grey area". But my question that i didnt see anything about is... I want to raise my vtec engagment to around 5500rpm. So if i do this i will need to take fuel out from 5200-5500 correct?? Is it safe to do this?

It all depends on your motor. All motors are different. Make sure when you're tuning that you at the very least have something to gauge your air/fuel ratio...and no, not some gauge that flashes red to green. As long as you don't lean out too much then yes, it's safe.

Do you have aftermarket cams in there?
