Default 95 accord ?

hi my g/f has a 95 accord and when it hits a little bump in the road theres a clonking sound comming from the front two wheels....had a mechanic check it an said it could be the shocks or tie rod ends....

Well i already ordered new shocks but just thought before i change them out i'd see if any of you guys have this same problem....maybe you guys could tell me so while i have everything off i could change them if it was the problem....

all advice is appreciated...

My 95 accord does the same thing, it needs struts, and an alignment. I would say yours probably would need the same thing

The tie rod ends can make a nice clunk when going over bumps; to check them raise the car and grab the tire at 3&9 'o' clock position, then wiggle the tire and feel for bumping, you might get some one to look under and check for movement on the outer and inner ball joint; while the tire is in the air, take a prybar and check the lower ball joint for movement by prying between the ball joint and lower control arm
Just because someone else needs struts doesn't mean all accords need them replaced

Tack on Upper or Lower ball joints as well on the check list of "clunkable" items.

You might as well check every piece of rubber on the front suspension including the struts and strut mounts to sum it all up.

any of the suggestions given to you could cause a noise, ,, but if i were you i would not buy or replace anything untill you properly diagnose what it is,, it might only be 1 of these 4 - 5 suggestions,, and i would not install the new struts till you know for sure ,, cause you will be upset if after replacing them the noise will still be there............

They're struts not shocks. Yea, mine does that too all 4 of them. How much was is for the struts? Check all the front bushing too!
