Exhaust Noise Problem
My car has begun to make weird popping noises when i accelerate. when i revved it up to see what would happen, i will hear the noise when the rpms begin to decrease to idle yet you can still hear it. it sounds as if its near front passenger side. I have been driving the car today ~90 miles back to school and then when i went to move it to the stadium, it suddenly began. btw if it matters i have a greddy evo2. sounds as if you were to flip your tounge loudly. maybe an exhaust leak? it only sounds like this at idle in the front of the car. i've searched, but some were left unanswered.
Thanks!
Thanks!

okay.
maybe because i have followed their basketball team and some of their other sports for quite a few years. is something wrong for liking a team from another state?

Well after searching and adding in that my last 2 tanks have gotten a significant loss of mpg, should i begin to check the spark plugs, distributor, etc. for a backfire? anything else i should check myself? and is it okay to drive normally with this occuring? thanks
the noise is constant while accelerating, but if i let off the gas, then you can't hear it. while at idle you can hear the sound constant as well; when revving at idle as it comes down you can distinctively hear the pop noises (like gargling).
EDIT: here's 2 quick clips of the sounds....may need to turn volume up
