Default ITR scam on eBay?

This supposed Type R has 4 lugs and cruise control. WTF? Do we need to kick some ***? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...gephotohosting

I don't see a sunroof, or cruise . . .

Most likely typos made by the seller.

That motor looks like it's got a lot more than 6k on it. Also, where's the grounding strap in front? Methinks it's fake...

On second look, that's a B16 intake manifold, and a JDM R valvecover, GSR strut tower brace, B16 head (no green paint).

Either he used a different pic, or there is some type of scam here . . .

OMG. Real ITR but....
1. 4 lug
2. GSR rims
3. Aftermarket muff is going to fall off
4. Altezzas
5. Looks like black JDM valve cover painted red
6. No emblems (shaved front and rear)

It looks like someone:
bought a type r
took out the motor
swapped in a b18c with a b16 head
took off the 5 lug suspension
swapped in 4 lug suspension
sold the car to an unknowing used car dealer

I noticed the grounding strap was missing, plus i also noticed the fact that the valve cover is totally fake looking, definitely been painted over. GSR wheels is right. I'm thinking the guy who sold it to this dealer convinced him it was a Type R, and maybe the dealer has no clue. Either way, someone is going to get robbed if they bid on it.

That is one baaaaad paint job on the valve cover.

The motor appears to have a type R battery. Something weird with this car....

Could be a theft recovery and some small shop bought what was left of the car and put it back together.....i think the shell looks like PY, but the engine and 4 lug tells another story.

I am thinking this is the EXACT answer. Although someone probably didn't BUY a type R. There have been quite a few missing from Washington lately, right???

A VIN would be the answer.

Interesting to note the valve cover's paint job. It also looks as if there is the "LSD" text on the tranny. Hard to say though. I bet this guy got scammed form someone else. I would wonder on the clean title too.

its definitely a type R body, and definitely not a type R supsension and engine. I feel sorry for the unexpecting car sales place.

Man, reading the description on the car.. it says that the car was garage kept.. the interior looks like crap to me.. all dusty and dirty... and red valve covers don't mean squat..... (Spoken from a person and all others on this forum with real ITRs)

You can't even say it is a ITR body. He could have bought the front chin spoiler and rear wing. Plus take a look at the muffler it's it's not stock and it is hanging 4" or 5" below the bumper.
This is as obvious as if I would paint the Mona Lisa and try to sell as the real thing. Fake fake fake.

My money would be on it being an ITR body. Judging how crappy all the other work was done, why would "they" go to the trouble to paint the whole body yellow, including the engine bay. No way....this is an ITR body with most of the good stuff taken off of it. Most likely a theft repo...

Check out their other integra on ebay....they have a blurb in there: "Email for more information on VIN and complete carfax report "

I wonder why they didn't say the same for this "ITR"
