Transmission problem?
Hey everyone,
I own a Honda Accord '96 EX sedan. I got into a car accident about two months ago and got everything repaired and there was no engine damages to it or anything. Okay well onto the problem, whenever I go into any of my gears 3rd, 4th, and 5th are the worst, it's as thought my gear isn't catching and when I step on the acceleration the engine rev's as if there isn't even a gear in place. I was thinking that my gears are just worn down since about 4 people learned how to drive a manual on the car and the age of the car. The mileage is about 144k and I would like to get whatever it is fixed before it causes any further problems.
And whatever solution you think there is to it, could you put down your estimated price range that it will take?
Thanks

if it's an auto, time for a new tranny if the main mearing is out, almost 2K to replace. The 5th gen autos are pretty strong though

that statement alone to me sounds like a slipping clutch. You probably need a new one.
