ST rear sway bar install on a 98 civic - shock bolt?
How are you supposed to connect the "L" bracket for the rear bar? It looks like it's supposed to get attached to the thru-bolt that connects the shock to the LCA, but I don't know how that's possible since the nut is welded to the shock.
Anyone know what I mean? I'll find a pic.

The end link for the sway bar is suppose to go through that hole on the LCA.
Those end links are like for a Integra or somethin. Those end links will not work on your car, you want em for the 99 Civic Si.

That's a pic of a 6th gen civic, just like mine.

What the hell? Thats not how a rear sway bar on a EK is suppose to fit. But if this helps, jack up the car before undoing the shock bolt. Its 47lb-ft btw to re-torque. try to lift the back of the car, and if still no, jack up the trailing arm.

But the nut is welded on! That's the issue. I mocked up the bar and it's a perfect length to attach to the thru-bolt. Maybe I'll just pull my shocks off and cut the nut off.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! It just dawned on me - the last time I put my shocks in, I accidentally bolted them in backwards.
Once I turn the shocks around (so the welded nut is facing the rear bumper) I can install them like the pic.

Why did they make their sway bar like that? I guess so they didnt have to make Honda's wierd end links. Those are probably cheaper.
The OEM pivoting end links use balljoints, which allow some flex, and improve the angles and ****..complicated but they are better. These will take more stresses, so they beefed em up. I'm sure this may make the ride a bit firmer, but you're gonna cut down some understeer, hehe.
