crazy idle jump

Default crazy idle jump

when i start the car leave it warming up or even at stop light the idle jumps at almost 2k then goes back down to normal jumping back and fourth the car runs fine Am thinking i need a tune up. mods; b16 head with b18b bottom end,header,intake. Need help thanks.

Your dizzy could be it but im not 100% sure.....I had the same problem when i did my swap into my eg.....i had the same problem until it went out.......now its runnin like a champ...

yeah I know just what the problem is I had the same problem. Theres this thing right under where the throttle is connected to the intake pipe caled the Fivc or something I dont remember but you take out the 3 bolts and take it off and take off the backing and screw the plastic thing in there tight so when the coolant warms up it closes properly. If you want some more info on it cause I think its the problem let me know.

Yea, your problem may either be the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve) or possibly a vacuum leak of some sort. There are a lot of things that it could be, so good luck troubleshooting

The honda shop calls it a EACV, which is the same as a IACV, it needs to be cleaned out or replaced. I just bought a whole new intake manfold on ebay for 60$ and just used TB off it, and put it on mine. Clean it first however. After driving my car with the new TB, after about a week it went away. So the results might not be right away. but now its good

thanks for giving me some advice but don't really know what it is does it look like a sensor? Is it really on the throttle body or on the Intake mani more details please thanks ordoes it look like a little version of a fuel pump
