Default sohc question

i got a jdm d15b head and titanium springs and retainers for a d16z6 will the springs work in the d15 and also will the distributor work from the d16 to the d15 thanks

not sure about the springs and retainers but i THINK the dizzy will work, but dont count on me to be right.

it should all work..the only difference in the the head of the d15 and the z6 is the cam in the d15b has a more aggressive profile. which is why that motor ouyts out more power then the z6. that and the ecu of course.. other then that the head is pretty much the same...

I think the Dist will work. I have a D15B in my garage and the dist appears to be identical to that on the D16Z6. I could check for numbers/take a picture of them side by side tomorrow if that would be helpful.

everything top end wise is the same besides cam.

but the d15b also gets alittle help by the increased compression also

hmmm. I'm not sure. The D15B is JDM SOHC VTEC with a little higher compression than D16Z6 but similar/same output. I'm not srue about B7. What is it in?

i know that with the Y8 dizzy you have a CPS problem. the d15b cps is in the dizzy not in the D16Y8. its external. you can get the signal from CFS though.
