Washing my stank floormats
Can I just throw them in the washer and dryer? Or is there some correct procedure out there? My floormats have been collecting water from the ground via my shoes all winter long (and probably for winters before that dating all the way back to '93), and I think I can smell them.
Thanks

Most coin-op car washes have clips on the walls specifically for floor mats. Just buy some carpet cleaner stuff that you spray on, clip them up there, spray on the cleaner, and go to town w/ the spray gun.
Then throw them out on the ground in the sun for awhile to let them dry.

I have always used Dawn dish soap or a liquid laundry detergent(pref) . I hose them down with the garden hose , put the soap on them , not much cuz it foams up alot LOL . and use a small hand held scrub brush and scrub in circles . Rinse and let set in the FL sun , Look clean and smell fresh hehehe

This is how we clean them, get a heavy duty all purpose cleaner, and a scrub brush, spray the cleaner, scrub hard then vac it up, if its deep bring a hose, add water after you scrub then scrub some more, then use a wet-vac and vac it up, repeat till clean.
