New Daily Driver
Well since the R is off insurance and in storage I decided to trade in the Wagon for something a little nicer. The Wagon was fun to drive, when I knew I could drive the R on occasion. Now that's out, so I decided to pick up a nicer daily driver to keep me appeased. After driving to Delaware to check out a seemilngly nice 95 GS-R, and realizing it was a piece of ****, I picked up a 97 RS off a guy on Honda-Tech. We met in MD at a rest stop off 95 and I traded him my Wagon plus cash for his RS.
It's black with decent paint, was in the need of a good detail, tan interior, leather RSX seats, GS-R swap, DC header, GS-R exhaust, K&N filter with a heatshield, Rotas with some new Falkens, and Omnipower coil overs. An all around nice car. I soon sold the omnipowers to recoop some money and replaced them with some S-Tech's and CTR shocks I had laying around. I also grew tired of the intense vibrating and swapped out the Jimfab torque mounts for some new stockers. After a good cleaning all I really wanna do is swap out the head unit and add a small sub-an Infinity Basslink type of thing.
While were at it is there a way to take the headunit out without taking out the center console? The car has a Multi-lock which makes it impossible to take the center console out. Any help is appreciated.
Here's a few pics I took after a good detailing. The car could stand to be wet sanded on the hood and roof, but for a daily driver I'm appeased.
The old Wagon, which I read was recently run a little too hard and lost comprerssion on the number 3 cylinder after 288k good miles. I'll always miss that thing.

It's replacement.

Does that thing have the standard tan Integra interior?
The reason I am asking is because those look like the tan RSX seats and I never knew if it matched the Integra interior. If I am wrong please correct me.
Either way, nice DD.

wouldn't call it a replacement because the R is still there, but i'm surprised you chose an integra as a daily driver because of the same issue of theft as well as high insurance premiums. regardless, she looks purty.
nice upgrade Ryan

I see a tan dash.

Thanks for the replies guys. The RS does indeed have the stock tan interior and the seats look great inside. They do sit higher than stock seats which takes some getting used to, but isn't much of a bother now. Insurane wise the RS is roughly 1/3 I was paying for the R, and I'm not as paranoid about theft, and am not worried about every little door ding, scratch, etc. Also keeps the miles off the R. It was just a good choice for me. I'm going to do my best to get the the Expo. The R will most likely be towed out, so insurance may not be necessary.
