I have 97 accord ex, my ac works fine but heater doesnt work, only regular fan air comes in. what can be the problem.

 

You might need a new heater motor. unfortunatly that will put u back about $800-900. I hope you live somewhere warm.

 

#1 be sure the heater **** isn't broken
#2 is the **** stiff when it does work?
#3 You should check the heater control valve to be sure it's opening and closing.
Depending on what you find we can go from there.

what are you talking about my man ????

do as Moo suggested,, also chk the t-stat make sure it is not stuck open...when car is warmed up, make sure lower radiator hose is almost as hot as upper hose

 

check your water valve for proper operation. if it is not open when the heat is on, you get no heat. maybe the valve broke or the cable broke or the motor that moves it on the head unit is had.......

I have had several honda dealers tell me that the valve can break and either stay open or closed even though the lever is moving on the outside of the valve. the only way you are going to know for sure is to take it off and test it.

 

check ur thermostat, I had the same problem and it was caused by the thermostat being stuck open
