Suggestions on replacements for the stock sub in Gen 4 Preludes.
My stock sub between the rear seats finally blown. I'm looking for something to replace that will give a lil kick. Any suggestions? Anyone know the dimentions and what i can fit in there without major modifications?
I heard is difficult to find good quality 6x9 subs these days. you can easlily find 6x9 speakers about anywhere but they aren't subs cause most are 2 and 3 way speakers and you won't get the same benefits as of a single sub. A oem Honda sub gotta be expensive also, so the best thing to do is search and search go to audio shops or even get a good used one from a lexus or something. Good luck
So how about something generic? Like this

Or this

Or maybe a 6x9 kicker, they are in the 50-80 price range too. Too bad they come in pairs, i only need one.

Neither of those are subs. Subs will just be a strong woofer without a tweeter. Anyway, you'll have to run an amp and separate speaker wires to it. You can't run that off your deck alone
yank it out and forget about it. almost nobody makes anything worth putting in there. if you still want some bass, get a small 8 or 10 and put it in the trunk. what was honda thinking when they made a 6x9 sub.. the world may never know
