I didn't have a alignment tool when I did my swap so I just eyed it. It wasnt that far off. But if your trans doesn't slide right on, STOP. this is what happens when you try to force it on. I also had to re-tap all the trans bolt holes as well.

Those are cracks on the outer race

ouch... glad I used one. Was it making any weird noises or anything before you took it apart?

when as i was putting the trans on i heard, tink, tink, BAM. and then it slid right on. i new some thing fucked up so i took it of to find that.

holy hell...

I had a similar problem when i swapped my b18 in my car, it was a pain in the ***. But i did use the alignment tool, just wasn't sure how it got all fubared. I didnt need to retap my tranny holes though.
