Default VTEC-E to regular VTEC

My friend is thinking about swapping his vtec-e head for a y8 head. Are there noticeable gains from doing this? How else could you benifit from doing this? And is there anything more to it than swapping the head and changing the ecu? since its already set up for vtec-e. Is there any wiring at all?

yes vtec-e is for economy so it is a 3 stage vtec deal, opposed to a two stage, the y8 head is a lot better, and it will be a plug and play swap. but you should swap youre tranny also because that would make the biggest difference.
