Default removing rotors

its a bitch to take off rotors at home correct? i just got in some new rotors and pads and i cant seem to take off the axel nut off. any suggestions besides bringin it to the shop?

if you can't even take off the axle nut, ar...don't bother.


if you still think you can do the job, please search, there's post with picture and helm manual side by side.

Its a pain in the *** to do but its possible... check this tutorial it will help you out step by step on removing them

It's very easy....
You just have to use the right tools.
1/2 breaker bar with a cheater will work.
Don't for get your impact screwdriver.

whats a impact screwdriver? how does it look like? could i use the bar off the big floor jack as a breaker bar extension???

impact screwdriver for what??? there are no screws to take out ,to remove rotors you must be thinking for a different year,,,, 90-97 it is hub over rotor

this is an impact screw driver you use it againt the screw thats there and just hammer your life away because it uses alot of pressure to unscrew the screw in place and trust me a normal screw driver will not work. When you hit the opposite end of the impact screw driver it will turn the tip which ever way u want righty tighty lefty loosy! lol

but i dont think i will need that cuz im just doing the front and the front doesnt have screws it has bolts.

damn i didn't know it was so hard to replace rotors...i just took my wheel off and i figured it out on my own. i deserve a cookie.

I just did the rears on my 96 accord. it was so much easier. I guess the front ones, you have to remove the axle nut.

I say use breaker bar.
when doing the rear, those screws did not like to come out of the rotor. what i did...i used wd40, waited 3 minutes. use hammer to gently hit the rotors a few times. then screw came out easy.
