Default H22A1 -> H22A4

Hey guys,

I'm gonna be swapping my H22A1 for my newly built H22A4 (sleeved, o-ringed, P&P head, forged pistons/rods, etc) in my 94 SR-V (VTEC). Now my question is, as my original engine/ECU is OBD1, and my new engine is meant for OBD2.. Does that mean I have to get an OBD2 ECU and convert it to OBD1? Or can I just use my OBD1 harness and hook it right up to the H22A4?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

PS.

Reason why I want to keep it as an OBD1 is because I'll be swapping the stock ECU for a P72 and running a Hondata S300 Unit.

Thanks!

Use your obd1 dizzy, injectors, knock sensor, & you're good to go.

Excellent. That's what I thought, but I wasn't 100% positive.

Thanks doode!

Yeah, just "borrow" the specific OBD1 parts from your old engine and it will work just fine...
