Default Clutch, transmission, engine? (helppp)

I searched through all the FAQ's, but I am just too much of a newbie still to quite understand it all .

---Here is my car---
1992 Prelude Si (2.2 ff2 SOHC?)
Manual Transmission

---My situation---My car stopped shifting yesterday. I couldn't push it into any gear with the clutch down. I had it towed to the shop, and they said they can't see anything externally. So they are going to look at the clutch and other things.

They said though, that if I ever though about replacing my shitty clutch, now would be a good time since its going to be easy-access. Well I do in fact want a stage 2 racing type clutch in my prelude.

---My question---I plan to swap in an h22a in 1 month. Now from what I know, the clutch is mounted with the transmission, and the transmission needs to fit the engine.

So basically:

1- When i swap an h22a into my car, will I need to also replace my transmission?

2- If I do need to replace the transmission, I will also need a new clutch?

3- I really need help since I'm car-less right now, What should I do about this?

I would like to say thanks to anyone who took the time to read this and help me!

Go ahead and buy your H22 now. Save on having a new clutch put in, then swapping everything out again in a month. Anyway, you can use the F22 transmission with an H22, but it'll kill your acceleration, and you'll drop out of VTEC on every shift. H23 or H22 transmission is your best bet for performance

Do you prefer h22 or h22a? Also, do you have any advised places to look for this engine?

There are 3 H22's. H22A, H22A1, and H22A4. Since your car's a '92, H22A1 would be the easiest swap (as long as you get one that's OBD1). As for where to buy, check http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/

Whats the different between a engine kit that says "engine/tranny/ecu" and "complete change over" ?

I need to purchase one of the 2 for the local shop to swap for me. I really wanted to do this myself, but I had a big problem which is forcing me into needing it done now

engine/tranny/ecu:

complete change over:

Will I be able to pick up one of these 2, have it shipped to my local shop, and they will be ready to go?

you don't need the complete changeover so long as you don't think your old axles, sensors, etc...are junk

word of advice. spend the extra money and buy an h22 m2b4 lsd tranny. it's worth the money.
