Does the s2k have lsd
Because outsourcing a proven part is cheaper than researching and developing a completely new unit.
If you don't understand the need for a 1.5 or a 2 way LSD, you shouldn't upgrade to it. It all depends on the purpose of the car, and the drivers style.

Remember, those aftermarket LSDs named above are the clutch type which differs from the Torsen or helical type that comes standard in the S2K. IIRC, it is only 1 way.

1.5 works partially on deceleration, and fully on acceleration. 2 ways gives full limited-slip effect on both accel and decel. I use a lot of engine braking, and end up locking the wheels unnecesarily on a 2-way (I've tried
). 1.5 gives me the balance that fits my style, and the control that I need.

1 way locks only when accelerating ...
1.5 way is almost like 2 way .. less lock when decelerating ...
2 way lock in both acceleration and deceleration ...

I can drift the stock S2k just fine. Don't upgrade if you can't grasp the starting point.

sure it can..... with our "snap" oversteer... it's actually quite logical... get into an oversteer and then slightly correct and you're in a drift...
on top of that it's easy to toss the rear end out on the S.....

i know where your going with this, but this is all upon the driver. sometimes the s2000 goes where it wants to go in an fish tail.

Hey Frank, take your car on the downhill. You'd be surprised how easy it is to throw it into a FOUR WHEEL DRIFT. I'm not joking. It doesn't snap if you ease it in. The AP1 is a bit too snappy to do it, but the revised suspension tuning on the AP2 takes it just fine.
