Default D16Y8 - SOHC Mounts - What are you running? >>

I just want to see what all the SOHC guys are running for mounts. I have the ES inserts for the rear and 2 lower mounts.

im interested in the other 2 mounts. i think one is the tranny mount on the passenger side, and the other i guess is an upper engine mount. It's the mount on the upper driver side right near the cam gear. what are you using for these mounts?

im having serious wheel hop issues, and these 2 mounts look worn. I just ordered a Full-Race traction bar so hopefully that might help as well

Just and update:

I installed the engine damper and engine movement is considerably less, basically non existent.

I have not taken the car out to see the results because it’s poring down rain
Full Race traction bar came in as well, but I need to redo my intercooler piping to make it fit, so that might be a week or so.

Does your car shake alot more with the damper in? I was looking at running a damper with new stock mounts but I hate rattling.

i run all stock mounts and a nrg damper.
my car shakes alittle on start up, but it settles down once i get it idling,

i didnt want a rattling dash and all the other rattles that go with inserts, so i went with a damper and im happy with it.

hope that helps.

Ya, it helps a ton, one last question though:

Does your car feel better with it? I mean does it help at all?

Thanks alot for the response.

i honeslty dont know.
i havent driven my car enough with it on.

i preload, so i dont know how much it helps with launches.

once i can get on a dyno, ill do a pull with it on, then one with it off.
hopefully that will be the biggest way to tell.

but for $50 you cant afford NOT to get it

I'm running all JimFab lower mounts. It makes the car deafeningly loud. It wakes up my neighbors when I start my car at night . They probably think I'm mowing my lawn or something.
