silly question, but i was just thinkin about it today alot of people use the f22's tall gearing for turbo set-ups would there be any pickup for a F22 if you used an h series tranny...its probably pretty pointless but has anyone tried it? cause i think the f22 would really benefit with a shorter gear set. just for those people who like building there f22's...i dunno just a thought
The F22 wouldn't benefit from the H22 tranny because the F22 is designed for more bottomend to mid-torque. It doesn't like to make power up high.
The purpose of the H22 tranny (shorter gears) is to get the car in its powerband and keep it there.
I would like to see an F22 with an H22 tranny though.

I had an f22 with an H22 tranny and in all actuallty it helped it a lot-it got up and went a hell of a lot quicker. top end sucked though and interstate sucked-4000rpms at 80 or so. My 1/4 mile times did go down though on average of 2 tenths.
It's a shorter geared tranny, so it will definitely make the car faster - until you run out of gear. In a H22 prelude with a 7500rpm redline I feel like the tranny is "short". I imagine that it would be really bad with a F22's redline.

i just thought about it, cause right now ive been using my f22 has a daily driver to school and work and ****, in works of building my H right now, and i was takin it up and it just seems FOREVER to get through gears in a f22 so i thought maybe if you used shorter ones it would give it some accel. i guess it does, thanks for the info
