Send an IM to Earl and tell him that you are interested in a Benson sleeved block IMHO They are the best out there

ERL is good no doubt.

I recently had some excellent dealings with Jim Justice and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Top notch work and customer service second to none!

Laskey/Benson here!

Excellent turnaround time, EXCELLENT service, and I mean that to the dot. I know people who have waited 3+ months for AEBS to sleeve a motor, and even longer for GE. I got my block 1.5 weeks after initial shipment. Fully assembled and balanced/blueprinted.

'96spec JDM ITR tranny with ATS 4.9 FD

I know a few people running Endyn rollerwave pistons. They offer a good quench area, especially if you have Endyn modify your combustion chambers to pent-clover shaped.

Your set up sounds real close to what mine is going to be.
Jdm itr 01 trans with the 4.79 in it is on the shelf right now and i was going to put in a set of 12.85 roller wave pistons with the gas holes cerramic tops and coated sides .. All thought i am going to run my ctr cams in it.
Any do's or dont's i should be aware of?

Big Phat R runs Endyn rollerwave pistons. Stock bore I believe with Eagle rods and balanced rotating assembly. His car pulls hard

I got mine done by Z10, but it's AEBS closed deck. I personally like the additional strength of the closed deck. I have had no problems with heat so far and the car has seen 8 track days with that motor.

With that compression and that small of cams, your ignition timing will be very conservative. My ignition tables look like a 12psi GSR Motor. If you run a larger cam you bleed off a lot of the compression and will allow you to run more ignition timing, hence more power (not to mention the added power from the cams).

I'm sitting at around 12.2.-12.3:1 right now. About 13thou off the head and 4thou off the block, stock thickness HG.
