Used 18G Greddy buyers, where'd you get the shorter manifold bolts?
The kit new come with 2 replacement manifold bolts that clear the hump of the 2 center manifold runners. I bought a used kit that didn't come with them. I went to the hardware store and found a flanged head M8x1.25 bolt and purchased a 20mm one. The stock bolt is 24mm. That didn't fit so I purchased a 16mm. That fit in, but wasn't long enough to engage the threads in the head. So now what? What have other people done? I have an email in to Greddy but I'm not expecting much help from them.
Thanks for any help.

I never installed any.....
I just left them without any mounting for those two holes because I was in a hurry..... 0_o
I bought some new oem exhaust manifold studs, but haven't installed them yet.
Are you saying they're too long? (24mm?)
I'm guessing 18mm would be ideal then, seeing as how you're saying 16mm is too short and 20mm is too long.....?

I was thinking about going to studs, but that is a last resort. I have alot of stuff bolted back in (radiator, AC fan, etc.) that I really don't want to undo. I can if I have to, but I'd like to find the bolts first.
The stock bolts are too long because of the hump in the manifold, yes. I was thinking of trying a 20mm with a lower profile head and a washer instead of the thick flanged head I first tried.
Anyone else?

fwiw, the greddy instructions say to use the supplied studs instead of bolts.
i thought that was what you were referring to.
just get some oem exhaust manifold studs (like the ones on the ends) and put them there.....

I must have read it wrong, I thought they provided bolts. It looks like I'm going to have to go that route.
What mm lenght do you buy? 38mm?

The ones on either side of the dipstick are both supposed to be studs. I usually put those on first, makes it alot easier.

Right, but on the Greddy manifold, the 2 center upper bolts won't work because of how the manifold humps up. What did you do there?

you need to get studs...instead of bolts...theres no way to get bolts in the two top middle holes because the manifold design prevents that. You need those studs where they have threads on both sides and once you screw the stud onto the head, you just use a nut to screw it on; only a nut will fit on those two top middle spots.
does this make sense at all?

Thanks guys, I bought some studs yesterday and will be installing them this weekend.
For some reason, I thought Greddy provided bolts so it threw me off. I'm back on track now.
