Default Acura MDX Caliper Upgrade??

Ok, so I took a picture of the underside of a Acura MDX. Later I noticed it seems to take the same caliper bracket bolt spacing that most Hondas do. Its a 2-pot caliper and since It has the hanger under the teeth rather than over it, I was wonderin if you could put it on another car like that, such as the 99-00 RL or the RSX-S.

Its a big *** caliper, looks shiny, maybe aluminum if were lucky??

on your 1900lb car? You're gonna brake your neck every time you stab the brakes, haha. I've driven a MDX, the brakes are GREAT, and its a two ton truck.

I don't think mdx brakes will just bolt up to a 99-00 RL. The earlier mdx's didn'y have the dual piston calipers. The newer mdx 2 pistons may bolt up to the earlier mdx's. The TL-S calipers would be a closer match.

'02-03 type-s. Im not sure if they will bolt up, i just know RL and TL front brake pads look similiar in shape and size.

P.S. the 2 piston mdx calipers are not aluminium

Look at the '05+ Odyssey brakes too. Their ~12 inch with twin piston calipers.

i'd say the TL calipers would be better. in fact there's someone in the ITR forums trying to retro fit it in his DC2-R (migs?)

*ill post pics later when we-todd is back

Yes the TL calipers could work, in face they HAVE worked, migs did mount them on a ITR, tho it took some machining. But the TL calipers as we know are.......expensive, whereas in a few years time, used minivan brake calipers..i mean they arent gonna be in high demand.
