Default project mayhem(DC restoration 56k im sorry)

hey everyone! so since everyone loves buildup project i decided to make this thread. i found this shell in a jankyard in nyc. well actually my friend
(m r g s r) found it for me. its very clean no rust or anything. its a 97gsr with 70k on it. here are the pics ill try to update again soon
where i found it

in my backyard

i need a gsr cluster, so if you have on elet me know

unfortunatly i got a cut harness and for some reason they took the ac lines and the battery traywtf?

since im going boosted, i chose a b16. i know its a wierd choice, but my friend had it for a while and i think 270whp and 190 pounds of torque would do it for me

i have a cut harness on both sides. im gonna take both harnesses out and try to solder them togheter. if anyone has done this before let me know plz

this is it for now, props to evan(m r g s r) if it wasnt for him i would never do such a thing.

thanks man..are you attempting to repair it or replace that whole thing!?!. sucks cause the drivers side harness disconnects right under the dash right before it goes into the engine bay, i wish the pass side did that

well if you solder them together there will be no connectors to dissconnect them and im not sure that all the wires from a teg harness will match a em1 harness. plus the teg is obd2a and the b16 harness is obd2b, you def got some homework ahead of you...if it were me as big of a PAIN IN THE *** it will be, i would replace the whole harness and get a engine harness for a gsr, but you might be able to fix it im not sure. that harness runs through the whole car.....

i asked this like 20 times in different forums but no one answered. could i just connect the two harnesses considering one is obd2a and the other is obd2b? thanks for the info

i hope u didnt spend very much on that...its hardly 'very clean'...from what i can see you're gonna need your front and rear bumpers repainted and it looks like theres water damage on the driver side carpet. you really just paid for a rolling chassis with black interior...

as for the battery...take the opportunity to relocate it to the trunk! better weight distribution y0

i'd just get a new harness. Reason is that if u miss-connect one wire, you will not have a good running car and have to check them all one by one. Get a new harness, save urself some pain in the *** on the long run. Mind me asking how much u got the shell for? Nice find BTW
