Default h22 tranny wont fit in 97 accord

A few mechanic friends of mine have told me that when doing a motor swap with an H22 into a accord to keep the accord tranny in there because the H22 tranny wont fit. I have been told that the H22 tranny is longer than the accord tranny and i know that a complete swap must of been done before like this so if anyone knows anything about this than please let me know.

I'm not 100% sure but I think on 5th gens you have to drill into the transmission mount to get it to fit. But I agree your friend needs to stick to oil changes and rotating tires.

I know the feeling. I ran a D15 tranny on a D16 motor. 72 mph in 2nd gear... . 2 clutches and 3 tranny's later...

ive had the factory F22 tranny then put in a H23 then put in a F22 with a H23 final drive and now i'm back to another F22, depending on where you get the tranny and what it was in before if you get a tranny out of a prelude and put it into an accord you have to drill out and tap the passenger side mount holes unless someone already had it in an accord for the most part its acctually the final drive that makes each gears seem longer because from what i remember when i put the H23 finl drive with the F22 gears the gears all seemed to be the same length as the H23 tranny itself

h23 final drive in an f22 tranny is the same as a factory late model wagon/cl tranny.
